“That the NAME of KU RING GAI STEALERS BASEBALL LEAGUE INC. be changed to KU-RING-GAI STEALERS BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL CLUB INC.”
Date of notice: 23 February 2021
NOTES
These notes form part of the Notice of General Meeting.
Explanatory notes as to the reason for the change to the Club’s name
When the name Ku Ring Gai Stealers Baseball League Inc was first registered, Stealers was only a baseball club. Since then, Stealers absorbed The Chase Softball Club and has had junior and senior teams in both baseball and softball competitions. The Club is also often referred to as Stealers Baseball & Softball or Ku-Ring-Gai Stealers Baseball & Softball.
Accordingly, the Committee believes that the club name should reflect both sports and recommends a change in name to KU-RING-GAI STEALERS BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL CLUB INC.
Right to attend and vote
The only persons eligible to attend and vote at the Special General Meeting are the current members as defined by section 4 of the Stealers Constitution.
Members will be able to attend in person (subject to capacity constraints) or via video conference.
Voting at the Special General Meeting will be by way of a show of hands for those in attendance at the Clubhouse and either by show of hands or poll for those attending via video conference. The Microsoft Teams video conference link will be sent out at least 24 hours before the Special General Meeting the to those who have RSVP’d indicating their intention to attend via video conference. If you have RSVP’d and have not received the link by this time then please email secretary@stealers.com.au to request the link.
