To the Stealers Family,
We wanted to advise you of the precautions we are taking to protect our players, coaches and volunteers from COVID-19.
In addition to following all restrictions and guidance provided by the Australian Government, including the local Council, and the baseball / softball governing bodies, which has included a postponed start to the winter season, we advise that until otherwise notified the following restrictions are now in place when using the batting cages at Golden Jubilee:
- No more than TWO people (this includes players, coaches, volunteers, others) in a batting cage at any one time AND social distancing guidance is to be followed, currently 1.5M)
- All individuals are to provide their own bats, batting gloves, helmets and mits
- All people in the batting cage are to wear batting gloves – even if they are not batting
- No individual who is feeling unwell or has been in contact with someone unwell, within the past 14 days, is allowed within 100 metres of the batting cages
In addition, the 2020 AGM, normally held late April / early May is indefinitely postponed until such time the social distancing controls are lifted. In addition, future Committee Meetings will be held via skype until the restrictions are lifted.
For player queries, please contact your VP:
- VP Senior Baseball – Gavin Gillett
- VP Junior Baseball – Jane Heap
- VP Softball – Maria Kunce
Please note these guidelines are subject to change as guidance provided for the Australian Government, including the local Council, and the baseball / softball governing bodies changes.
We wish you and your family the very best during these trying times.
