2013 Stealers Seniors Presentation Night was held at the Warrawee Bowling Club on 16th March. Finger food and refreshments was provided, team awards were handed out and the JVG Award was presented to Harm Drenth – a well deserved recipient

This award was created in recognition of John van Geldermaulsen, a player who exemplified sportsmanship and coaching excellence on the baseball field and who had a presence where umpires, players and the PCBL EC looked up to him with respect. John led by example, would coach and mentor new players and played the game hard and fairly, excepting the umpires decision whichever way the call went and always had time for a chat after the game – a true gentleman.

Harm, you were nominated by your peers for this award because you also lead by example, have coached and managed many teams over the years in all grades, have always been willing to lend a hand at training, accepts the umpires decision without showing dissention and are respected as a person and player within the Stealers community.
